Laser Coupling Alignment

Here, the output shaft of a 3,500 hp motor is accurately aligned with the input shaft of a gear box.

In marine applications, accurate shaft alignment is more critical than in dry land fixed machinery mounting situations.  That's because as a vessel pitches and rolls and the hull is flexed, coupling maximum misalignment limits can easily be exceeded.
